Our Story
Boys & Girls Clubs have been serving Sonoma County youth for sixty years! Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which eventually became our first Club in the County. In 2008, Clubs in Healdsburg, Windsor and Rohnert Park made a bold choice and elected to join forces as a new organization - Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County. For these communities, the choice was clear. They aimed to both expand and continually improve services to the youth in their own backyards and they also shared a passion to reach out to ensure that every child in Sonoma County who wants or needs a Boys & Girls Club will have one. To that end, in less than a year, the organization opened two new Clubs in Southwest Santa Rosa as well as a new Club in West Windsor. That's about 500 additional young people who are grateful to the leaders who made that bold choice.
